Beauty | Review: Fudge Urban Texture Blaster

Calling All Big Hair lovers.... The answer to voluminous, textured locks had arrived in a rather eye Catching Bright Orange Bottle!!!

As somebody who is always in the market from new hair products I discovered this little must have when buying stocking fillers for my sisters Christmas. Unlike myself, my sister had very fine straight hair and is always looking for something quick and hassle free to give that bit of extra volume and hold for her hair.

Before
Apply Texture spray to roots of hair
Work product into roots
After | Big Hair in Seconds :)

After the first use she was raving about this product (very unlike my sister as she is no product geek like myself) the next time I was staying at her flat I desiced to see what all the fuss was about and give it a bash. I applied this spay to my natural curly/wavey hair and was amazed with the results!! The curls seem more defined, my hair stayed volumised all day (even in windy conditions) and the smell of this product was addictive!!
I have now re-purchesed this product several times as the "Fudge Urban' range is often half price in Superdurg stored in the UK. Its great for all hair types to give texture as well as great hold for messy up do's like a messy bun!
If you are anything like me or the many people that I have recommended this product to, you will soon be addicted to the style and smell of this hair product!!

It usually RRP's for £6.99 but is currently only £3.47 at Superdrug!!

Thats all for now

Travel | Hints and Tips for Educational Tourists!!!

Hello Everyone

Well with exams studied for and passed here was silly old me thinking the hard part was over for my exchange year away!!! ohh how wrong I was!

My last week has been a hectic period wish very little time (and resources) to get a LOT of things done!! So I thought I would write up a blog of Do's and Don't from Exchange Travel so all you budding 'Educational Tourists' can learn from my mistakes!!!!

* DON'T PANIC!!!!
Yes it's scary, and yes there is too much to do but if you already have a list as long as your arm, don't add having a panic attack to that list as you will get less done! If you feel like it's all getting too much, take a step back, breath, evaluate the situation and think about some way to be productive! even if it is something small you will feel better to get one thing done!

* DO Make Lists and PRIORITISE!
By physically writing down what you need to do it can help you visualise  things, once they are written down you don't have to worry about remembering- sounds obvious but it a big help! Also there can be nothing more satisfying than ticking off a list when you have completed a task!! For Particularly busy times of year (like exams  or planning a big trip or event) I like to use Wunderlist... it is an app available on the Apple Store that you can use on your computer. It lets you set tasks, add time date and notes to each task as well as giving you the freedom to rate your tasks on level of importance! I find this App incredibly useful but if you don't have any Apply device to download this App a good old notepad and pen will work fine

* DON'T Be Afraid to Ask for Help!!
They say a problem shared is a problem halved so if you are facing a large task don't be afraid to rope in a friend or a member of family to help you out! not only will they be great as someone to listen to you, a second opinion or just someone to read over any important documents is just what your tired brain needs to reduce the possibility of mistakes that you may have over looked!!

* DO Keep your Eyes on the Prize!!!!
In all the stress and confusing forms and documents you may forget what you are doing it for!! If you feel it's not worth it think about all the amazing experiences you are going to have when away.... the weather, the new experiences and friends you will make!! take a few minutes to get your self excited and you will find new motivation for tackling that impossible to understand Visa form!!

Good luck to anybody that is currently in a similar situation and I hoped this helped!!!

Thats all for now

Lifestyle | My Birthday Weekend | Part 2

By Birthday festivities continued over this weekend;

On Friday, after returning from Edinburgh, we had a Flat party and went out!! I go some amazing gifts from my friends, including a 'dirty' french phrase book to use in Montreal and a Retro Olympic passport  holder!! I found out on Friday that i had passed all my Exam with Merit and I would be Canada bound by late August!!!

I had an amazing party, the highlight being the Birthday cake that two of my friends made for me!!! Lemon drizzle cake with butter lemon icing in the shape of a lipstick... and it has already been demolished!!!

My Lipstick Birthday Cake

After My party we headed to our usual favourite Friday night haunt.. Propaganda at ABC and danced the night away! Didn't stay out too late as the next morning i was getting a 7.40am train up to Aberdeen to spend some time with friends and my mother.

"BFF"
Back home in Aberdeen all my old school friends came round for dinner, drinks and a gossip!! we had a lovely evening and i got spoiled with lots of bottles of bubble, and one tube of blowing bubbles as i wasn't drinking that weekend!! It was so good to see my friends from up north as I don't get to go home as much as I would like to!!!

On Sunday my Mother took me out Shopping to get my Birthday present! She treated me to a Kindle Touch!! i had been wanting one before I go away as I don't think I will have room in my suitcase when traveling next year!! I thought i would jump (even if a bit late) onto the game of thrones band wagon and have started reading the first book on my new toy!!

Before I headed back to Glasgow mum treated me to a meal at one of my favourite restaurants Giraffe.!! I LOVE this restaurant, there is so much food for vegetarians like myself and the staff and atmosphere (as well as the cocktails) are great!! Unfortunately there is only one Giraffe in Scotland and that is the one in Union Square in Aberdeen... the next nearest one is in Manchester (I have even been to that one two!!)

All in all turning 22 was not half as scary as I thought and thanks to all my friends and family I had such a lovely time!!!

Thats all for now

Lifestyle | My Birthday Weekend | Part1

Hello everybody!!!

Its My Birthday (well... was my birthday!!)
On the 14th I turned the ripe old age of 22!! It feels like yesterday i was 21- where did my year go!?!

With friends and family all over Scotland I have been rather busy traveling and being spoiled by everybody!

First Stop Edinburgh!!!
When I heard that the Olympic Torch was going to be in Edinburgh on My birthday I quickly harangued my sister into coming with me. However we found out the torch was going to be leaving edinburgh first thing (6.30am) on my birthday so decided to go see it the evening before instead!
My journey began with a "smashing" start when leaving Glasgow bus station, my bus to edinburgh was involved in a accident when another bus in the station backed straight into it smashing all the windows down one side of the bus!! Thankfully nobody got hurt and after a long time spent waiting, we were finally on our way again on a shiny new bus!!

The Bus after the wee accident!!

The Weather was lovely in the Capital and while waiting for my sister to finish work so we could go see the flame i sat and enjoyed a coffee with a rather spectacular view of the castle!!

Edinburgh Castle

The morning after (my actual birthday) my sister spoiled me rotten and we went shopping, ate out and bought the most delicious yummy french macaroons from a cute little cake shop just on Hanover st. Everything looked amazing your mouth watered just looking in at their window!! They currently don't have a store in Glasgow but if you live in Aberdeen, Edinburgh or St.Andrews I would recommend going in for some treats!!

Bibi's Bakery...Click Here

After a hard day of shopping we were both pretty beat so spent a lazy evening in eating junk food and watching TV (This is a big treat for me as i don't have a TV back in my flat in Glasgow!!)

Next Morning I had an early morning bus back to Glasgow and safe to say the promised rain drenched The whole city... lucky for me i was safe warm and dry on the bus home!!

Typical 'Scottish' Summer weather :p

I Have done a 'Birthday Haul' Video on my YouTube Channel so you can check it out,

but for now I have to get back to my Birthday celebrations!! :)

Thanks all for now

Beauty | New Hair!!!

I have been dying my hair a light Auburn ( who am I kidding, I was Ginger and very proud!! ) colour for almost 3 years now! I have always loved this colour on me as it warms my (very) pale skin tone!

I have however decided to go back to Brunette so when I am in Canada next year I won't have to worry about trying to find the right colour of hair dye!!

Still not 100%  sure.... I think in my heart I will always be a red head ( as I was  born with a lovely head of ginger hair) !!

Let me know what you think and leave a comment bellow!!

Olympic Torch Relay: Glasgow 2012!!

Hello There!!!!

In the Run up to London 2012 the Olympic Torch finally reached up north to it's Scottish leg of the tour! Large Scale events like this always get me so excited, i don't know if it's just everybody in the country getting together and getting excited that makes events like this so much fun or if it's just my inner child trying to get out!!

Last Friday (8th) The Olympic Torch was In Glasgow and I managed to convince some of my lovely friends to entertain me in coming down to the city centre to watch the procession and i can safely say i was NOT disappointed!!!

We picked the most amazing spot where the torch passed not once but twice AND we even got to see a torch change over!!!

The Torch Change Over

The Torch is currently in Aberdeen and is heading south to Edinburgh tomorrow (where i'm then dragging my sister to go see it with me again!!) It was amazing to see everybody line the streets of the city wanting to celebrate the UK getting this event and for Glasgow it was a taster of whats to come when we host the Common Wealth Games in 2014!!!

Even managed to get a cheeky picture with one of the Torch Bearer

Have any of you guys been out to see your Olympic Torch Relay?? What did you think??
Thats all for now!!

First Post!!!

Well here goes nothing.....

Well as my Second year exams draw to a end and the long expanse of Summer is spread out before me I thought I might give this blogging thing a go!

My first reason for turning to the world of the blog is come August (if I pass all my exams?!) I will be Canada bound to spend my Third year studying International Business in Montreal!! With friends and Family already spread all over I thought writing this blog could help me keep in touch will all those that I will miss!!

The second reason is because of my growing obsession with beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogs!! There are so many out there that cater to  all different types and tastes, plus, getting peoples reviews and views on things beauty related has always been a small addiction of mine, and one that very few people i know share!!

My final main reason for giving this a whirl is to improve my IT skills as well as my writing skills- i love a good project and learning design for something a simple as a blog will be a challenge for me but one i'm looking forward to!!!

If you are new or old to blogging and have any tips or advise for me please leave a comment bellow!!

Thats all for now!!!
