Enjoying the Sun before the Show

Well over the past week the buzz in Glasgow is slowly starting to rise and my excitement levels are almost through the roof for the 20th Commonwealth Games that are taking place here in Glasgow in only a few days! A lot of my clyde-sider training incomplete, my uniform is ironed and ready to rock and last night I got the unbelievable experience of attending a dress rehearsal for the Opening Ceromony. We have been asked to keep everything secret but WOW you guys are in for a real treat! make sure you tune in if you live anywhere in the Commonwealth... There will be lots a 'First' that you won't want to miss out on.

The Ceremony will be broadcast on the 23rd of July by the BBC or if you are in Glasgow yourself, why not head down to Glasgow Green for some opening ceremony festivities and FREE MUSIC! Thats defiantly where I'm headed this Wednesday!

No only am I a voulentreer with the Wrestling, I have also managed to get tickets for the Rugby 7's on Saturday! I think this may be just too much excitement for one person!

Will you be watching the Games Ceremony?  From what country?
Hope you all have a good games

Graduation BA Hons | Part two

I DID IT

Me and My new best mate
At the Start of this month I after 4 years, lots of tears and triumphs I have actually graduated.

My education has always been very important to me.
Your brain is your best assets, never waste it!
I am very fortunate to be Scottish so my education was free in this country. I have studied overseas (Montreal) so I am very much conscious of how expensive and unattainable a higher education is to so many young people these days and I am truly greatful for my education.
It makes me very sad to think about how only the rich in so many countries can afford an education, how are we ever going to get a representative government if only the upper classes can afford the education to move into these roles.
I am also very fortunate to have come out of University completely debt free. This is due to several factors, I saved up around £10,000 before attending university and have worked continually and lived very hand to mouth over the past 4 year... but I wouldn't of had it any other way. living on a tight budget opens your eyes to many things like the wonders of Aldi (where it is possible to eat healthy on a budget) and my love of charity shops (I can't remember the last time I paid full price for an item of clothing)

At University you will really get out of it what YOU choose to put in.
I worked my Ass off
I've studied abroad
I made made friends from all over the world
I have made best friends that I now can't imagine my life without
I've had every type of relationship status imaginable
I have learnt from my mistakes
I have many more still to make
I've learnt where my strengths are and how to play to them
I have become more comfortable in my own skin more than I have ever been before

But what next........

Garnier Skin Miracle Loves

Garnier has always been a bit of a hit and miss brand for me. I love the majority of their body care range, but when it comes to facial skincare....especially moisturisers they ALWAYS break me out! I was therefore quite reluctant to try the new Miracle Skin range that has recently come out. I currently work in a rather well known drug store, and when I saw the new product arrive I popped a little bit of the tester of he skin cream onto my hand and did the usual rub and sniff test and thought nothing of it. it wasn't until around 15 mins later that I caught sight of how radiant one of my hands was comparatively to the other! I quickly rubbed a little into my jaw line to see if it had the same effect and I fell in love with this product. I thought since it was on an introductory offer that I might as well pick up the eye cream while i'm at it and give both of these bad boys a whirl.

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream | 50ml
Garnier Miracle Eye Cream | 15ml
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | 400ml
I have been using these products together for almost a month now and my skin has been amazing, no break-out, not too oily and I have noticed a slight reduction in my fine lines around my eyes!!! There is a slight tint that is in the skin cream and eye cream, this meaning I only use them in the morning and haven't felt the need to apply foundation over the top so its perfect for no-make up summer days where you just want an even complexion. The only downside to the moisturiser is the fact that although the tint matches my skin colour now, I know after I lose my tan from holiday it will be far too dark :( secondly, a little of this product does not go along way, I would of liked to see a little more product in the bottle for the price. These issues do not apply to the eye cream however so I will defiantly be re-purchasing this product. The Micellar water has been a staple in my morning/night facial routine for since this product first came out! The bottle is MASSIVE and lasts months and it is also super cheap for a cleansing water making it amazing value for money. It leaves no sticky residue on your face after use and your skin feels fresh, not all tight like some waters can leave it. It takes off all make-up, even waterproof mascara with ease! can you tell my love for this product is really unending!?

IF you fancy giving these products a go they are all currently 1/3 off at Superdrug!

Have you tried any of these products? did you love them too?
