Calling all Freshers....

Yes Collage/ Uni students its that wonderful time of year again.... Freshers Week!!!

Fitting into student life 'Glasgow style'

A week, that if you are anything like me, will all be one big blur of late night dancing, drinking and hangover food! You will make friends that could last a life time but along the way there are some rather more unfortunate outcomes....forget 'Freshers Flu', I'm taking about 'Freshers face'!!

You know what I'm one about... dehydrated skin, Under eye bags and breakouts !!

Now this would be fine if you had a week to recover but oh no.... now that you are all partied out (and look like death) you need to make perfect first impressions on your knew class mates and the best part... get your Student ID photo taken.... the photo that will stay with you for the 3-5 years of your University / Collage life!!!

There are a few tips I have learned over the past 4 years of freshers to keep the greasy skin at bay while enjoying your last week of freedom until class starts:

(1) Dink LOTS of Water!
Our body is around 70% Water and just because you had 7 pints the night before does not mean you are hydrated! Health professionals tend to recommend to have one glass of Water between every alcoholic drink... if you have the will power to do this then great, if not, then my tip is to fill a large bottle of water before you head out and make sure you drink ALL of it when you come in! Your spot free skin and clear head will thank you in the morning!

(2) Remove our Make-up!
Sleeping with your make-up on clogs your pores and blocked pores leads to spots! It really is that simple. I know when rolling in at 5pm after a flat party you don't want to spend 15mins to cleanse, tone and moisturise but why not invest in a pack of quality face wipes for the week to remove most of the dirt and build up. It Is quick and easy and can make quite a big difference!

Simple Exfoliating face wipes £3

(3) Invest in an cooling Eye Cream/Gel!
To 'I-haven't-slept-in-4-days' bags concealer can work wonders but prevention it always better than cure.... yes in this case technically the prevention would be to get and early night but when we have far more important things to do (like dress up for a school disco) then a cooling eye gel ca help relieve puffy eyes and it also feels great on the eyes too!!
I love the body shop's 'Elderflower Cooling Eye Gel' £6.50

Sorry for stock photo's... I am still without my Camera but I hope the Some old 'fresher' snaps of myself may make up for it :)

Thats all for now
