Still keeping my face nice and fresh, The sun was out so I decided to add a burst of colour with one of my all time favourite summer lipsticks, 'Mexican Wave' (limited addition) from Top Shop. This Orange/Red shade has slight hints of peachy corals and POPS with pale skin in the summer... perfect for a bright look on no make-up days!

Garnier Miracle Skin Cream | Colossal 'GO EXTREME!' Mascara | GOSH Brow Kit

With potentially the biggest photo opportunity of my life a week on Friday (My Graduation), my skin has of course decided to explode with spots and puffed out a little (maybe too much yummy food and sleepless nights in Spain me thinks?!) In an attempt to keep spots to a minimum and my skin looking a little more tight and youthful, today I'm keeping it basic. Instead of foundation, I am just wearing the new Garnier Miracle Skin cream (review blog post coming once I've tried it out for a bit longer) a lick of Maybelline 'The Colossal GO EXTREME! Volume Express' mascara (what a mouthful) and my go to GOSH Brow Kit to tame my brows slightly before I get them waxed a little before the big day.

Recently one of my closest friends has moved to the beautiful Costa del Sol to start up a beautiful Italian Restaurant by the beach at Benalmadena. I thought I would make the most of their hospitality... and sample some of their yummy food, and head over to the south of Spain for my 24th Birthday. 

Now anybody who knows me, will know that I am a bit of an over planner when it comes to travelling. I'm not really into schedules, but if I know I'm heading to a new city or country, I feel its integral to do lots of research so you won't miss anything amazing. 

The frist and for most reason for my trip was to spend some much needed time with my friend but I also squeezed in a good few museums, lots of food, some sun and reading.

Malaga is best known for being the birthplace of Picasso. He is not one of my most favoured artists, however the Picasso museum is only 3 Euros entry for a student, so definably worth the money even if your aren't too arty. For me personally, the gem in Malaga's art scene must be the 'Museo Carmen Thyssen'. Entry agin for students was around 3/5 Euros (depending on exhibitions) and they have a collection of some very talented, if not perhaps the best known, Spanish Artists. If you only have time for one art gallery I would defiantly recommend the Carmen Thyssen over Picasso!

Also for those a bit more hands on, Malaga's Interactive Music Museum is the place to go! You get a chance to play with a wide array of musical instruments (who knew the I was a natural on the steal drums) and you can record your creations all through electronic bracelets thought your experience.  Check out the website here

Overall the trip was amazing, it was really good to get out of the city and spend time with loved ones in the sun!

Graduation BA Hons | Part One

So it's taken 6 year, one collage and three universities, but I have finally finished my joint BA Hons in International Business with Hospitality and Tourism at the University of Strathclyde! 

My final exams took place in May and a week ago a got all my results and I got a 

FIRST CLASS DEGREE!!!! 

I am completely over the moon with my results, especially as I feel I have worked incredibly hard this year and due to some personal circumstances, I had to take my final set of exams under very difficult conditions. 

I have been spoiled rotten by my close fiends and family and now I can't wait for graduation to sit at the front with all the rest of the smartiepants :) 

Congratulations for any other fellow Graduates!!

Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games | I'm a Clyde-sider :)

I just got my uniform  

If you have seen my previous blog post on the London 2012 Olympic torch relay, you will be swear about how easily excited I get over mega sporting events. I see it as a great time for a country to come together to support our finest athletes. 

For those who don't know, this year, the 2014 Commonwealth Games are being held in my University city of Glasgow. I was around a year ago that I fist applied to become a volunteer with the games, and after interviews and the starts of training I am very happy to announce that I am going to be a 'Clyde-sider' at the Wrestling. 

I plan to share some of my amazing experience here that I am sure to have come July! so watch this space!

Afternoon Adventure | Day Trip to Arran

In my never ending quest to travel to new places, last week I decided to venture to off the Scottish mainland to Isle of Arran. Only a short train ride and ferry across from Glasgow, Arran is surprisingly easy (and cheap) to get to. With only an afternoon on the Island,  We decided to stay in the immediate area to the ferry port, and everything we visited was easily in walking distance. For such a small Island, there is a surprising amount to do. From the beautiful Brodrick Castle to Arran Heritage museum, there is something for most ages on the Isle, and not to mention lots of goodies to be picked up on the way at the Arran Brewery, Arran Aromatics and Arran Cheese Shop! If you find yourself with a free day in the Glasgow area, I would defiantly recommend heading out to the stunning Island, sometimes you just need to get out of the city!
